I DO and DON’T
Few times I came across clients who wanted me to change
totally the way they look. I am totally against it. Should this be what you are expecting to see when I will deliver photographs — you may wish to look around for another photographer :)
Just before you choose me to become your photographer, I strongly suggest that you read below list of things I am DOING and NOT to avoid misunderstandings and unpleasant moments upon receiving ready photographs. I can certainly do many of adjustments written below in ‘I DON’T’ list, but in such instance the packages of services I offer will be charged differently.
Below applies only for the portrait sessions where a certain amount of photographs are edited depending on package client choses (below does not apply to reportage type sessions where photographs are only colorcorrected):
I DO
- Clean and edit skin tone/texture/remove obvious skin defects, pimples, blemishes;
- Make slight adjustments of body/figure;
- Clean/clear the background of photographs from unnecessary items/garbage/people to max possible exent etc.
I DON’T
- Make person look differently — I’m not a
surgeon (face shape, body composition, adjusting fat to skinny, short to tall
and vice versa);
- Paint/work as a makeup artist while doing post-processing
in Photoshop;
- Add extra lashes;
- Extend hair length;
- Color/re-color nails;
- Fix badly red/burnt skin as a result of sunbathing days before the photoshoot (each of us we know how long we need to get rid of the reddness and acquire that brown and nice looking skin after the sunbathing, so please schedule your sunbathing-sessions accordingly);
- 'Iron' clothes with Photoshop/add buttons/fix apparel that is in a bad condition/dirty and obviously not taken care of by client before photosession.
- Change color of clothes.
Dear client, should you wish to have beautiful photographs, some time should be spent
and work should also be done from your side.
Please note, photographs in my portfolio are a result of cooperation between parties involved — myself and a client. I will do my best to advise and guide you through the preparation process for the photoshoot and definitely will have a ‘needle and a thread in my bag’ (and not only!) in case of any emergency on the scene/location of the photoshoot.
